It depends entirely on where you are going, and the yacht will send a detailed, region-specific packing list once you book. As a guide: polar and Arctic trips need warm technical layers, a waterproof shell, gloves, hat and sturdy waterproof boots for wet zodiac landings, plus good binoculars and a proper camera.
Tropical expeditions, the Galapagos, Indonesia, the Red Sea, flip the list: reef-safe sunscreen, light quick-dry clothing, a hat, and your own dive computer or mask if you have them. Bring any personal medication, including seasickness tablets for open crossings.
Soft bags travel best on small aircraft and in yacht cabins, and watch the weight limits on any bush or charter flights to the gateway. The crew handles towels, snorkel gear and most water toys.
