Price Terms
Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see
Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).
All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.
The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).
For a power catamaran like TABULA RASA, the expected APA is 20% to 35% of the charter price ($7,000 - $12,250), making the charter cost $42,000 to $47,250. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.
You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).
The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.

Crew Information
Captain: Demian Thomas
Tabula Rasa’s crew is both owned and operated by Demian and Angie Thomas. Purchasing this boat has brought a dream to fruition that Demian has had for decades. Demian and Angie have three kids and live in Redmond, WA.
Demian has been in the yachting industry for 30 years, with experience on everything from dive boats to America’s cup sailboats, to 50+ meter yachts. His parents built a 46’ wooden sailboat by hand and the family sailed away from South Africa when Demian was 14. He has crossed the Atlantic seven times, worked feverishly in yachting while stationed on St Maarten in the Caribbean for 12 years, captained vessels in Ft Lauderdale, until the last yacht he was skippering got sold, which took him from Florida to Seattle via the Panama Canal. He met Angie in 2015, shortly before the same boat sold again, which helped him decide to start a marine management and service company in the Seattle area. Demian is an accomplished surfer and formally sponsored kite boarder, rounding out his passion for being on the sea.
Angie has been a MRI tech for over 20 years, but has always nurtured a love for being on the water. Growing up on lakes in the greater Seattle area, Angie has extensive experience in water sports, which led to her competing in wake surfing in the 2000’s and 2010’s, winning or placing in several events. Angie developed her own adoration for the sea after helping Demian with several deliveries in Mexico, up and down the west coast, and locally in the Puget Sound. She quickly adopted Demian’s dream of owning his own catamaran, solidifying that love with a 7 week trip bringing it to Seattle from Ft Lauderdale with their three kids. Angie can be found in the gym between Costco trips on her days off or hanging with girlfriends.
Both Demian and Angie enjoy meeting new people and sharing their love for everything boats. When they aren’t on board, they enjoy both water and snow sports, going to their kids sporting events, and home renovation projects keep them busy. You can often find them off camping in their trailer with their two dogs, as family experiences are held with the highest regard.
